UNT's Beta Zeta chapter is a proud member of Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), international risk management, insurance, and actuarial science fraternity. GIS fellowship strives to bind its members together with a tie of true and lasting FRIENDSHIP, a desire for KNOWLEDGE, a dedication to INTEGRITY, and faithful FIDELITY educational institutions and industry through networking and by fostering research activities, scholarship, and improved public relations.

All students interested in risk management and insurance are strongly encouraged to join Gamma Iota Sigma. Membership in GIS not only makes the student eligible for scholarships and awards but also gives students access to the National GIS career center and membership for life!
